The Road

Virginia Patriot Guard
Join With Us To Honor Our Troops

I suppose I could say the road starts here. However, that wouldn’t be even remotely accurate. It started here for many of us, but some I have met along the way are from places where folks have strange accents. Others are from the land of no accent. Either way  - if you’re here you must have heard of the Dan River Region. Not every one here rides on two wheels, but without a doubt some of the nicest and coolest folks you’ll ever meet do.

Let’s just say this is where our paths crossed. I’m not sure where our journeys will lead, but you’d better hang on tight cause we’re headin’ on down... the road.

More pictures will be added when I can remember to put my camera in my saddlebag.

It takes a while for me to add names. If your name is not over your picture it will be soon.

You may be here because I provided you with a link so you could get more information about the Gathering of the Guard.

"A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount 'up to and including their very life.”
“That is honor, and there are way too many people in this
country who no longer can conceptualize it." Reply With Quote

Many folks ask me if you have to be a veteran to be in the Patriot Guard. No. You don’t have to ride a motorcycle either. All that is required is Respect.

I am not a veteran. Many in my family are or were. Due to childhood health issues I was unable to serve.  I have always had a part of me that wanted to try to make up for my lack of service. I know that isn’t possible. Being a Patriot Guard Rider can never be a substitute, but it is one small way I can show honor and respect to the men and woman that have stood for us all.
